Lotsa Window Trains
Author: suvart

Went Bushwhacking in Sorrento Canyon, on Surfline to catch a BNSF special. In the process I caught a couple of other passenger trains.

1) The low level surfliner set has been getting used to break in the chargers. Everytime I've seen these units the strobes are always on.
2) A Southbound Surfliner
3) A Coaster running a few blocks ahead of the special.

4) The BNSF special. It appeared to be a deadhead move.
5&6) Pulling into the San Diego yard.

I saw this train back on Sunday or Monday. On the Flagstaff and Barstow Virtual Rail Cams.

Does anyone here know if this train will go back the same way it came?

The BNSF train is in San Diego for the California Shortline  Railroad Association, and American Shortline and Regional Railroad Association meetings there this week. Its going to run a 4 hour or so trip up and back on Monday.
