Amtrak # 5 westbound between Reno and Lawton - the day after Thanksgiving, 11.23.18.  A nice cold morning...

Nice shot! Is that three sleepers operating on the CA Zephyr (in addition to the Superliner Trans/Dorm Sleeper)? Looks like three Superliner Sleepers upfront, then the Diner and Sightseer......

Yes, this was a 'heavy' train - I was surprised too, with three sleepers.  Thanksgiving traffic, maybe?  It took them forever, and made them late, to load in Reno.

was on train 5 wed 3 coaches also also rode 3 and 4 between pct and las vegas with 3 sleepers and 3 coaches plus dorm 91 in first class out of kansas city
