Passenger Trains > What's the weather like in Richmond, VA?

Listening to the Ashland radio feed, I heard #157's engineer tell the conductor that he hit two small trees between Doswell and Taylorsville.  He inspected his power at the scheduled Ashland stop and found no damage.  Would this have been caused by wind or heavy wet snow?
Also, I heard the FB dispatcher talk to a maintainer at Elmont, so there may have been switch problems there.

Williamsburg has about 6" at least and the storm stretches up to DC.

and I-95 is closed due to accidents at this time (7pm Sunday)

I'm about 10 miles west of Staples Mill Station. It's been snowing since about 7:30 this morning.  I'd say I have 8 inches, but it looks like the ice/snow line is right around the 95 corridor since early this afternoon. So there may be ice accumulation on the switches.

Not much wind to speak of, so a lot of heavy snow in the trees that I'm assuming will lead to downed trees and limbs.

Looks like a lot of school, government and business closings tomorrow, although Henrico County has been plowing all afternoon near me.

13 inches at my house in Botetourt county, first out, and we have stopped running.....I am the last engineer in terminal so I can't drop my turn can't mark off and can't get down route 220 which is closed. I am tween a rock and a hard place. Of course if they call I've got to try and get there. 

Just over 12" so far here.  I am in Quinton, between Richmond and Williamsburg.

No snow in DC on Sunday, but a cold north wind.
