Amtrak 686 ferries the HU 406 from Portland to Boston

Downeaster 686 almost slipped by me today at Rigby Yard in South Portland, Maine, with extra equipment heading for Boston.  I was looking for the Conway Scenic's new dome car (Silver Splendor?), which was headed north on PanAm's AYPO yesterday, but no luck with that.

Correct, the dome is the Silver Splendor.
