Passenger Trains > Precision Scheduled Railroading

I have been reading a lot about Precision Schedued Railroading on how many of the major freight carriers are adopting this practice.  

What kind of affect does this have on Amtrak's scheduling on these railroads?  I read about late trains etc... just curious if many of these delays are caused by this railroading practice or if the delays are Amtraks internal issues?

Looking forward in hearing from informed writers.

CN and E. Hunter Harrison were the inventors of PSR and CN has consistently had the worst on time performance of any Class I. FWIW.

The term has nothing to do with Precision or Schedule...and little to do with railroading. It is more of PSM - Precision Stock Manipulation.

Having nothing to do with precision or schedule, there is no generally positive effect.

A better name would be...
"Cream of the crop railroading"
