Passenger Trains > Amtrak trackage rights?

I'm British so please bear with me!
As understand it Amtrak owns some track along the north east corridor but runs on the track of other railroads elsewhere.
Setting aside the north east corridor do the trains run exclusively on CXS, NS, UP and BNSF tracks or do they use any other railroad around the country?   I don't need an exhaustive list, just an generalised indication.

Mostly Class I railroads, but also some short lines and state or other public agency trackage.

The four railroads you mentioned are the bulk of the routes over which Amtrak operates. There are, however, numerous entities both public (Metrolink in the LA Area, for example) and private (Buckingham Branch in West Virgina another example) over which Amtrak operates for shorter distances.

Here in New England Amtrak runs on track owned by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, as well as Pan Am Railway, New England Central, and Vermont Railway System.

Amtrak also owns some trackage outside of the Northeast Corridor.  They own a line in Michigan (a significant part of the Chicago-Detroit route) plus a short, but important amount of terminal trackage in Chicago.

Just a quick correction, the Buckingham Branch RR, which the Cardinal uses, is between Orange, VA and Clifton Forge, VA. Not in West Virginia..

I believe they own the Post Road Branch between Renssalaer and the CSX's Berkshire Division.

That's what I needed.   Thank you gentlemen.

And to add to the list, they operate on CN (in Canada and the US) and CP (US only, I think).
