Passenger Trains > Sunny Day HiawathaDate: 02/16/19 08:52 Sunny Day Hiawatha Author: kevink While I’ve seen Metra’s latest heritage locomotive a number of times since it’s inaugural run, I’ve been limited to seeing it in the confines of Chicago Union Station since then. Yesterday was a bright, sunny day, if a bit chilly, so I took a quick walk over to Clinton Street at lunch. I missed a shot of one of the new-to-Metra F59PHI’s on an outbound train thanks to an inbound. Metra Milwaukee North train 2117 arrived pulled by Metra 415. I was about to head back to the office when the crossing signals activated. I was rewarded with Metra 405 pulling a non-revenue move to the yard at Western Avenue.
1. Metra 100 shoving east 2. Metra 415 with MDN train 2117 3. Metra 405 Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/16/19 09:09 by kevink. Date: 02/16/19 12:46 Re: Sunny Day Hiawatha Author: Milwaukee When did Metra remove the 40th anniversary RTA color wrap off the #100?
Date: 02/16/19 13:28 Re: Sunny Day Hiawatha Author: kevink I last saw it in the wrap on 5/30/18. When I saw it next on 6/8/2018, the wrap had been removed.
