On 9 Sundays this season, one can ride a trolley to home games from downtown Scranton (Steamtown) to the Montage station, 5 miles away. The baseball stadium is a short walk.
The $20 fare for those trips covers round-trip trolley ride and stadium admittance.
The same ride is available from 4/25 through 10/27 this year and is really worth it ($8.00), as is the trolley museum/carbarn next to Steamtown. ectma.org

The Railriders play at PNC stadium and is a modern, fantastic minor league stadium with a back drop of cliffs and sometimes a waterfalls.  They have great food there as I recomend the prime rib sandwich that cooks in the right field area.  The Railriders are a top quality AAA team that is affliited with the NY Yankees and have delivered many great players to that storied franchise.

A great venue / a great way to get to that venue and while you're at it Scranton has great restauants, a casino nearby and yes there is Steamtown!

warren1977, thank you for the railroad connection. I didn''t understand the reason for the RailRiders name and Wiki was no help.

Electric City is a county-owned, but volunteer staffed museum operation.
The attached map gives an idea of how the route gets through Scranton.
Most of the route follows the former trackage of the Lackawanna and Wyoming Valley RWY (aka Laurel Lines). a heavy interurban line that hauled freight and passengers into the 1950s.
This line has impressive infrastructure, including a 1-mile concrete tunnel and a girder bridge across the Roaring Brook Gorge.

From someone who grew up along the Red Arrow Lines in suburban Phila, Its great to see these "Red Arrow" cars in regular passenger service.  (#80 and a center door car in service, plus a "brilliner" being restoresd for service)  They have a wonderful collection of trolleys, especually from JG Brill Co. of Philadelphia, and the St Louis Car Co.
