CalTrain 7th Street Curve?
Author: RRBMail

It has been a long time since I shot trains at San Francisco's famous CalTrain 7th Street curve. On Google maps it looks like the classic curve with The City's skyline in the back ground is fenced-off. I will be in SF on 6/21 and would like to shoot the "Fleet" in the late afternoon. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your replies. As they say: "All good things, like war, must eventually come to an end." --attributed to Gen. George S. Patton

Maybe a step ladder, or standing on your vehicle, or photos with a drone would produce a decent photo?

Streets like that are usually lined with RV's with fully employed folks living in them.

Not all of them are foamers either.

#134 with 3029.  I remember these days well.  Probably shot in the 60's.  I haven't been in the City since I left Caltrain in 2004.  Definitely "all crap now".

I've heard it attributed to George Carlin or Mao.

Caltrain, not CalTrain.

I'm getting to this a little late but there are several holes in the fence--as of this February which was last time I got out there. They are about 4-5 feet off the ground.

Used to be a nice k-rail in the perfect spot but that was removed in the last couple years.
