Passenger Trains > Builders Duel In The Cashmere Valley

Washington’s Cashmere Valley — surrounded by apple orchards with the Wenatchee River meandering through — is the site for today’s dueling Empire Builder videos.

First up is number 8 crossing the Wenatchee River at Dryden last night.

Next up is number 7 slicing through the town of Cashmere this morning.

Cashmere is a really cool little town — picturesque and relaxing. It’s a little bit touristy, but not the full on tourist trap you’ll find in nearby Leavenworth.
