Train 22 Texas Eagle of July 10, 7 hours late tree strikes

Amtrak Alerts @AmtrakAlerts·5h UPDATE: Texas Eagle Train 22 which departed San Antonio (SAS) on 7/10 is currently operating about 7 hr 10 min late due to the earlier tree strike south of Texarkana (TXA) and swapping engines in Texarkana (TXA).

An SDP40F leading would have taken care of the tree and there would be no delay.

Typhoon, I rememberr the problems with the SDP40Fs and the deralments blamed on boilers on curves.  Funny, ATSF had no derailments.

Santa Fe had a better track record on keeping their right of way in excellent shape!
