Passenger Trains > Sunset Limited Grade Crossing Collision TodayDate: 08/02/19 19:58 Sunset Limited Grade Crossing Collision Today Author: TexBob Showing evidence of the grade crossing collision it was involved in this morning at Cibolo, TX
http://seguingazette.com/alert/article_a0d7640a-b54b-11e9-aef5-13e61908fffd.html AMTK 175 leads #2 past the Willowbend grade crossing, in SW Houston, at 1658. The train left SA down 2 hours this morning. The post-incident clean-up/investigation added another 4 hours of delay. I didn't notice the impact damage as I was taking this picture. But I did notice the distinct sound of flat spots on the trailing unit, P42DC 191, that resulted from the emergency brake application. I arrived here about 10 minutes ahead of the train. A massive cumulus cloud blocked the sun until about a minute before the train arrived, meaning I must cash out my IRA and buy lotto tickets. Robert Pierce Sugar Land, TX SWRails.com Edited 2 time(s).
