Doesn't surprise me, I remember one morning a train was delayed in Lancaster and saw a conductor and 2 cops come onto the car I was in and escort a person off the train which delayed the train for like 20 minutes! You can see that on ANY Metrolink train. That's what they do when they catch someone riding without a ticket. That and give them a ticket. Palmdale, Lancaster & most of the low-income high desert is pretty nasty. Date: 08/22/19 06:55 Re: Metrolink Lancaster Line closed at Palmdale. Active shooter Author: MEKoch The removal of any non-paying passenger from any train sends a good strong message to other passengers. PAY your fare.
It also avoids a host of other problems, when passengers see that the train crew did not care about collecting fares. Date: 08/22/19 09:56 Re: Metrolink Lancaster Line closed at Palmdale. Active shooter Author: toledopatch MEKoch Wrote:

I saw a guy get written up for non-payment on a Tri-Rail train last year, but it was just a citation - they didn't detain him. Date: 08/22/19 10:23 Re: Metrolink Lancaster Line closed at Palmdale. You are not familiar with " low-income high desert? (Destination of the "Felony Flyer"). It exists. Lots of data out there- crime, income, health, education, demographics, etc. Facts. Nothing to do with "judgement", whatever that means. Date: 08/22/19 11:17 Re: Metrolink Lancaster Line closed at Palmdale. Los Angeles Union Station = Los Angeles County Men's Central Jail, Los Angeles County Twin Towers Jail. Matter of fact the trains circle around these jails. So does that make all Metrolink and Amtrak trains that use Union Station Felony Flyers? Date: 08/22/19 13:58 Re: Metrolink Lancaster Line closed at Palmdale. Lots of data that shows a lot more about the Antelope Valley than just the negative stuff you seem to enjoy posting. Of course, you also didn't bother to mention that data shows that the bad parts of the Antelope Valley are no worse than the bad parts of the City of Los Angeles, Santa Ana, South Gate, La Puente, Long Beach, Anaheim, Rowland Heights, Riverside, San Bernardino, etc and so on. |
