.....with Pride.  What a shameful display of schedules at the station.

The highway crossing over the tracks at Quantico was, when I used back in the '80s, one of the most dangerous I have ever seen.

You got to believe there are many Amtrak employees who commute by or through there that they would take pride by fixing up that board

It’s disgusting to see this type of neglect

You may be confusing "SHOULD" with "WOULD."

A curbside train service. Megabus would do no better. It is south of the NEC. They only put back the military discount due to US Senate action. Why expect anything at all from the buffoon of a COO Stephen Gardner.

Perhaps this is aspirational, showing Amtrak’s ideal situation of no trains operating outside the NEC.

Amtrak doesn't own that station as far as I know.  They probably don't own or maintain the bulletin board either.

Remembeer Amtrak no longer prints any material.   What do they have to post ?

At one time, the position of Station Supervisors saw to it that schedules etc were posted.   Not sure how many of these folks remain.

But hay, the thinking today is that if you want info, go to your smart phone, we need not be brothered with  postings.

Someone who cares can print the schedule from the web site and post it so customers know when to expect a train to stop

Where is the pride to care about your company and customers?

That has to start from the top. Been missing from Amtrak for quite some time now.

That station had (has?) a problem with advising which platform is in use for an incoming train.

I've observed passengers suddenly rushing over to the other platform as an announcement is made.

To be honest, I would check the Amtrak app on my phone to see when and what trains stop there. Wouldn't even look at a printed schedule in a window. I see it all the time on NJT, most people just check their phones. A few still look for the printed schedules, but not many..

There isn't only a lack of confidence here. There is a lack of professionalism. The schedule of times and where the trains are heading to should be listed on the board. The State of VA needs to let Amtrak know what they are doing isn't acceptable here. There are multiple Amtrak trains that stop at Quantico each day.
