The third tractor-trailer vs. passenger train incident yesterday occured when a Metra Milwaukee North train collided with a semi near the Edgebrook station on Chicago's north side: https://abc7chicago.com/metra-md-n-service-operating-with-delays-after-train-strikes-semi-near-edgebrook-station/5868654/
No injuries reported.

Seems to happen more when roads cross tracks diagonally.

From my limited experience driving a class B truck, when there's a crossing with an acute angle of crossing to your right, it's necessary to leave the drivers' seat to be able to see something like 30 degrees off the rear of the truck. 

Like backing in many situations, GOAL...Get Out And Look.
