Passenger Trains > Coast Line Open for Amtrak

Full operation of the Coast Line was resumed today Wed March 7, except for train 772 from Goleta to San Diego, which had no equipment to protect train. Will operate from Los Angeles to San Diego.

On March 10th, the Business Class fare will go up on the Surfliner $1.00 between all city pairs.

thanx mundo - PW had reported on another board that 776 left SLO in am and that 11/14 were running, but based on opinions by VIA2, littlechic, and amtrakpro, figured it was more fantasy....

Amtrak arrival status shows 14 arrived 30 minutes late today at Santa Barbara, so it is running.

On-time, #14 thru Grover at 2:10pm - at 30 min late, would be thru at 2:40pm - it is 4:00 and I haven't seen it YET!

OK - It is past 4:30 and the website still shows "running 30 minutes late" at SLO (Ha!), so no arrival yet, it is still repeating the Santa Barbara time.

Thanks for the update from Grover, Pismo. So #14 is somewhere in the Twilight Zone between Santa Barbara and Grover.

Hope it makes it. I supposed to be on that consist SB out of Seattle on Friday.

14 came thru Grover 4:15 - into SLO 4:35 (2 hr late). With "pad" it is out 1-1/2 hr late. #11 came thru Grover at 4:35 - about 45 min down.

Anybody know why 14 lost 1:07 between Santa Barbara and SLO?

This is sort of like that Star Trek episode where Kirk and Bones got transported to that alternate universe.... Wierd, huh? Does anybody know the address to PW's site?
