Passenger Trains > NJ Transit "run for the executives"Date: 02/27/20 08:10 NJ Transit "run for the executives" Author: Lackawanna484 Conservative opinion columnist Paul Mulshine turns his focus on NJ Transit. After years of writing about the incompetent hacks Chris Christie sent to high paid jobs at NJ Transit, the Turnpike, Delaware River Ports etc, he points out that Governor Phil Murphy is doing the same. Creating new, hgh paying jobs for friends of friends, campaign aides, etc. Even Murphy's "consumer advocate" is now lashing out at reporters who ask questions about why these unadvertised jobs seem to be popping up with regularity.
NJ's public employee system allows people who held certain positions within the legislature, courts, or executive branch to take that seniority over to much higher paying jobs at the authorities. That jacks up the pension payout significantly for those favored few. Most public employees don't benefit from these "who you know" deals. https://www.nj.com/opinion/2020/02/good-public-jobs-bad-public-transit-nj-transit-is-going-off-the-rails-mulshine.html Date: 02/27/20 08:14 Re: NJ Transit "run for the executives" Author: aehouse I am shocked SHOCKED to discover corruption within the highest levels of New Jersey government.
