Not the worst thing in the world considering all of the recent capacity constraints.

No surprise.   The drive in to work for me in northern NJ has gotten easier over the last two weeks.  Lots of people staying home.

MTA Rail operations are down far more:

Remember that New Rochelle within MN turf is a hot spot for the state with special precautions in place.

Upstate NY is not that hard hit as of now, though all SUNY campuses will shut down for the rest of the Spring semester once "Spring" break starts next week. It will be economically a set-back for those towns.

Many of those town in Upstate NY have been going through hard times to begin with and when the campuses close because of the coronavirus, that won't help either.

A 10% drop? Try more like a 50% drop. My train down the Pascack Valley Line, 1612, usually carries around 750-800 people. This morning, and all of this week, if there was 450 people on board, it was a lot. And it's only going to get lighter. From what my fellow conductors have been telling me, ridership is down a lot more than 10% on all lines..

Thanks for the first hand report.

Given the way revenue is reported, etc, it's likely the data refers to last week's rider totals.  With all the firms, colleges, etc telling people to work from home, this week into next week will probably continue to drop count.
