Passenger Trains > Where are the new Amtrak Kitchen Cars?Date: 04/02/20 05:53 Where are the new Amtrak Kitchen Cars? Author: PlyWoody Why is Amtrak not pressured to put these new kitchen cars into service and moved to some virus hot spot to feed and make meals for first responders and medical personnel if close track space can be located. These beautiful stainless kitchens should not be kept in storage. Surely there are place that could use a instant new kitchen during this emergency.

Maybe Amtrak can get some good PR doing something like this while helping people who deserve so much of our respect.

Author: Erierail Darn I like that idea even better. But in retrospect, I guessing that Amtrak is not getting pressure to put it's diners to use is that many Americans Don't know what Amtrak is. Fewer know what a dining car is. And fewer have no idea that they are stored. And among those who do, they probably don't know why Amtrak ordered them, if they didn't have intentions to utilizing them in thier trains. Heck I have trouble understanding that my self.
