Great shot, B&OBill.  At least the NS locomotive was on the other track!

One of the first times I rode the Capitol Limited in the 80's, in the middle of a foggy night we were stopped somewhere south of Pittsburgh.  I took a look out the rear window and not far down the track (our track) was a Conrail UBoat sitting there quietly with marker lights on and headlight/ditch lights off.  It was a scary sight, seeing the big, menacing locomotive idling up close and personal.  Good thing he was just sitting there and not smashing the back of our train!
