Passenger Trains > Metra Cancels ALL Service for Tuesday 6/2/2020

In a repeat of today’s shutdown, no Metra trains will operate in or out of Chicago on Tuesday 6/2. Metra officials will review the situation tomorrow and decide if service will be restored on Wednesday.

May as well cancel everything until at least Thursday, the day of the Floyd funeral.  The terrorists are sure to keep things boiling until at least then and probably afterwards.

How are these riots affecting Amtrak services at Union Station and in other cities as well?

I do not see any terrorists in what is going on.

What I do see is 2 groups:

1) Those that are protesting and doing so within their rights. They have been non-violent from my understanding. Clashes with authorities yes but not laced with violance.

2) Lawless criminals that are using the current situation for their own personal gain by rioting and looting.

NEITHER of those fall under the definition of a terrorist.

I haven't seen any reports of Amtrak service in Chicago being affected, but I would check directly with Amtrak. So far I have seen any reports of trouble in the area of Chicago Union Station but that could change rapidly.

Thank you. There has been way too much mis-information and fear-mongonering (also inherent racism) on this forum.
