#5 Reversing through Downers Grove on Main 1 today

Anyone know what was going on in the BNSF West Line area to Aurora this afternoon?   Shortly after passing through Downers Grove on Main 2  Amtrak #5 returned reversing on the same track almost  behind #4 which was inbound on Main 3.  Several minutes later #5 returned at speed heading west on Main 3. Made for an interesting afternoon at Main Street!

Probably a signal issue west of Downers Grove. I received several Metra email alerts that advised trains were running late due to signal problems.

A westbound  Z train passed Belmont on Main 1 shortly before #5 approached and caught a red board at the Belmont M.P. 22.9 signal bridge, also on Main1. See photos.  I suspect the Z train had an issue and was blocking the Lisle crossover. After #5 backed past Fairview on Main 1 it crossed over to Main 2 where it was able to finally get past Belmont.
