There is an article in today's New York Times about infrared imaging. The writer took a FLIR Systems camera around his home town of Maplewood, NJ, and one of the scenes he captured was an NJT train led by one of the PL42AC locomotives.

The attached image was from the video that was on the NYT website this morning, but which now seems to be gone from the article.
