Todays Amtrak 42 - NS unit leading

I heard that 42 has an NS unit leading which was on when it left PGH.  Anyone have an update on what happened?

Horseshoe Curve cam @9:47 a.m. with EMD SD70ACU leading

Train 43 on the 5th took 56 min to make the normally 40 min Greensburg-Pittsburgh run.
An educated guess is that ENG 98 suffered a cab signal or PTC failure.  If CAPITOL LIMITED #30 had a second unit, it probably could have been sent off at PGH for #42; however, this apparently did not happen.
