Wasn't expecting it, didn't plan for it.

FRA Car on #4 Today.

The sides were coplanar as opposed to all wavy. Nice looking car.

Second loco needs to have its injector nozzles pulled/tested/replaced.

I imagine the HEP load on that second unit was pretty heavy with the air conditioning use in the cars.

Very nice. I didn't know the FRA had their own car - makes sense.

Is it a sleeper and do you know where it ran pre-Amtrak?

At first I thought it looked like an old PRR car.

Thanks.

Car was formerly "Cape Brulea", probably ex- PRR.

The car was rebuilt and outfitted at Gateway Rail Services in Madison Illinois a few years ago. A great car for the crew working onboard.

Former CN sleeper lounge "Cape Bule".  Had been privately owned before the FRA acquired it.
