Passenger Trains > A few NJT and Amtrak trains at Metuchen, NJ on 7/9

I had taken a much needed day off on July 9th.  Around midday, I found myself at Metuchen, NJ, along the Northeast Corridor.  The intent was to catch the freight local out ot Metchen Yard, which I did catch, and then another bonus was a text from my son letting me know that Amtrak 642 was leading train 174.  

1.  NJT train bound for Trenton with a dual mode and a rather clean looking Comet car
2.  The same NJT with a cab car sandwiched between a pair of regular Comet cars.  I just found the placement odd.  
3.  Amtrak train 125

Nice collection of photo's; I love the sound of trains passing through Metuchen as it's an
interlocking. Pic #5 and the video is not #98; but #20 (Crescent). Tell tale sign is the
baggage-dorm; while #98 runs with 5 coaches; 3 sleepers; diner; lounge & baggage car.

OC - nice series of photos, especially the one with 642 leading.

Okay thanks, I'll make the update.  Via the scanner, I heard someone talking to what sounded like train 98 before I saw it, so I put two and two together. 

Looking good! Great shots.

Always nice to see the Corridor; great photos.  I do still like those 600s.
