Passenger Trains > Giant rat at the Ashland VA station construction project?Date: 08/10/20 13:23 Giant rat at the Ashland VA station construction project? Author: Lackawanna484 The Virtual Railfan camera shows what looks like a medium size Scabby inflatable rat at the station work site. Scabby often appears when non-union sub-contractors etc are brought onto a worksite. The rat is facing south, at the highway crossing.
(I believe this attention getting inflatable is owned by the Carpenters Union, and comes with his own wranglers. There are several currently in use.) Date: 08/10/20 17:03 Re: Giant rat at the Ashland VA station construction project? Author: amtrakbill Bet that rat was made by non-union rat makers

Yes, if it was purchased at the Maralago gift shop. Date: 08/11/20 09:24 Re: Giant rat at the Ashland VA station construction project? Author: ts1457 PHall Wrote:

Author: RGTower Wouldn’t it be more productive to get the non-union employees to join the union, rather than shame them with giant rubber rodents? I’m sure they wouldn’t mind doing the same job for higher pay and benefits, but at the end of the day, they are just trying to put food on the table.
