Ahh, for the days of variety...
Everything looks the same anymore.
Fortunately, I have my models of real passenger trains.

Thanks for memory lane. The Heritage Lounge cars - particular the one shown in this picture - always interested me. I know I was likely in them, but I seem to always remember an Amfleet II Lounge/Cafe, and not the Heritage Lounge, with its larger styled windows etc. Or the Heritage Lounge was a dome car, or some other special car, not something that resembled more of a diner on the outside window arrangement, and even interior with its booth style seating. Amtrak withdrew the Heritage "Lounge" cars as soon as they could it seems.

Yes, I thought they were interesting cars.  I can't remember which Chicago to East Coast train it was (I rode them all at various times when I was in the Navy in VA, 1988-1995), but I remember riding in those cars too.

The ex Santa Fe Hi Level Chair Car as an Amtrak Coach Dorm, has the original non-removable windows in the dorm section.

After the fatal wreck on into the Bayou of the Sunset Limited, the dorm windows on these types of cars were upgraded to (smaller) revmovable emergency window types for all HI Level Coach Dorms..

The 3118 began life a PRR parlor car Kasimir Pulaski.  It later went to the Branson Scenic.
