Passenger Trains > Wishful thinking

When I pulled up the transdocs US/Canada train tracking map it was obviously malfunctioning.

Nevertheless, it made me wonder if this is a vision of what woiuld be Amtrak's dream-come-true.

It’s amazing and pathetic that those are the routes that pass for a “national system” in the USA. Just the lack of any north/south routes west of Chicago is laughable. Wanna go to Dallas from Denver? Say hello to Chicago!! Insane.

Uhm, Greyhound Canada is gone west if Sudbury and suspended what little service they had left in Ontario due to COVID. So that isn't too helpful right now. US Greyhound is still operating with reduced frequencies and some routes totally suspended.

Well it was a Greyhound Canada bus picture. If Amtrak and Greyhound Canada could set up a route between Denver and Dallas via Canada they probably would to make sure all passengers are 'never again' riders!
