From the Windows of the California Zephyr # 6 - 3/17/2012

On St Patrick's Day weekend in 2012 we took the CZ from Roseville CA to Reno NV returning the next day in order to see some snow that was forecast from an oncoming storm. At one point, even the engineer made a comment about the view, saying it looked more like the Canadian Rockies than the Sierras. Also, at the time, UP was doing tie replacement and tunnel clearance work on the hill. Melting snow on our window didn't help the pictures any but, we had a great trip

I never saw those views in the Reno trench before, thanks!
