Gymkhana indeed. A whole bunch of Amtrak's horses going around sweeping curves. 

Unfortunately, some times the ride is more like a steeplechase when the track is bad. I won't even discuss some of the rodeo rides I've had.

Ha! Amtrak Chicago crews used to say “What’s Green & White and goes Bump in the Night” referring to the BN track East of Denver.
I hated the ATSF East of La Junta- damn that was (is?) rough track!! Trying to sleep in the dorm was horrible.
