Iowa Hawkeye football train no more
Author: JasonCNW

For the last several years both the Iowa Northern and Iowa Interstate railroads worked together along with the University of Iowa to run a short passenger train between coralville and Kinnick Stadium to transport football fans to the game. This year due to covid restrictions and other cost they are no longer going to be doing this, truly sad.

That’s a shame. We rode it while visiting our daughter back in 2019.

Too bad. It provides a real service of moving people effectively/efficiently and many people always wondered why a passenger extra from DSM for Hawkeye home games couldn’t have run like the CRIP did.
