New Mexico has among the loosest weapons laws in the US.  Open carry is OK.  Maybe drivers should make a point of reducing the car jacker population.

(I googled "car jacking in Albuquerque, and got 400,000 hits.  Googled "car jacking in Santa Fe" and got another 200,000 hits.)

Carjackings are up all over the country.  One thing leading up to the increase is that EVERYONE is wearing a mask.  Two years ago if someone walked up to you with a mask, you would be concerned.  Today it's normal.  Thugs know this and are braver than ever.  Add to that the "Defund the police" movement and you have an overall increase in crime

reading the local news In Alliance NE about the depot fire, there was justa car jacking  there with part of the drama at  the sheriff station.
