Sorry if this has been covered before.
Also curious if they needed that waiting period? that has been mentioned for other state services to resume.

Anyway Amtrak is a National Service and the states should be on the same page??
I assume Wiscosin is the lead on this and the restoration of the control cars is possibly a result of this.

Good. Need to pull the cafe car off the train and add a coach. Shame that cart service couldn't be restored, use to like it.

This is great news

Will this lead to the new Seimans cars finally being put into service?

I don't believe these trains have a cafe car.

One would think most travelers are able to get through a 90-minute train ride without eating.  For those who cannot, food is sold at both the Chicago and Milwaukee stations.

Correct as in nothing sold onboard, but they have one on the trainset to meet the axle requirement.

If they had a cafe car in the consist, there was likely no Cabbage-40. Only they have the master WiFi equipment.
Wisconsin used to spend about $250K per year to run a cart through the coaches with cold snacks on some trains. The fellow was popular and something of a comedian. But Governor Walker cut it out of the budget.

That really is a waste on what amounts to a glorified commuter train.

If they can get someone to buy an $8 beer or a $7 sandwich, I'm all for it.

Travelling is no fun anymore.
