Passenger Trains > Hiawatha Service restored May 23rdDate: 04/24/21 13:20 Hiawatha Service restored May 23rd Author: robj https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/2021/04/23/amtrak-hiawatha-service-resuming-its-pre-pandemic-schedule-may-23/7350688002/
Sorry if this has been covered before. Also curious if they needed that waiting period? that has been mentioned for other state services to resume. Anyway Amtrak is a National Service and the states should be on the same page?? I assume Wiscosin is the lead on this and the restoration of the control cars is possibly a result of this. Shame that cart service couldn't be restored, use to like it.

Will this lead to the new Seimans cars finally being put into service? Date: 04/24/21 14:11 Re: Hiawatha Service restored May 23rd Author: ronald321 I don't believe these trains have a cafe car.

For those who cannot, food is sold at both the Chicago and Milwaukee stations. Date: 04/24/21 16:41 Re: Hiawatha Service restored May 23rd Author: grlhughes ronald321 Wrote:

Correct as in nothing sold onboard, but they have one on the trainset to meet the axle requirement. Only they have the master WiFi equipment.
Wisconsin used to spend about $250K per year to run a cart through the coaches with cold snacks on some trains. The fellow was popular and something of a comedian. But Governor Walker cut it out of the budget. Date: 04/24/21 20:59 Re: Hiawatha Service restored May 23rd Author: altoonafn joemvcnj Wrote:
