Surfliner Snafu?

Anyone have any information on 765, 774 and 777 today which all show "Service Disruption"?  Looks like 765 made it to Chatsworth and then disappeared from the Amtrak "radar".  774 previously showed "Service Disruption" and now 777 shows same thing.

I haven’t been paying real close attention because I’m 1,000 miles away, but Amtrak has been tweeting about the delays all day.

Check the Amtrak Alerts Twitter feed for details.

Wasn't aware of an Amtrak Twitter feed, so thank-you for pointing me in the correct direction.  Looks like there were a number of "mechanical failures" today associated with these trains.  Siemens Snafu?

Yeah, it seems like it was one thing after another today for the Surfliners.

Is Coaster going to build a tunnel underneath Del Mar and abandon the Del Mar Beach mainline?

3 failures?

is it from lack of maintenance, an unusual coincidence, or something else?

Does Amtrak regret selling the F59PHIs to Metra?

As has been detailed in older posts, Amtrak never owned those F59PHIs. They were on a lease and then sub-leased to California. The lease expired and the lessor did not offer any renewal.

Are the F40 cab/baggage cars compatible with the new Siemens locomotives?

Why do they use an Amfleet Business Class coach in the Comet consist? Does Amtrak California not own any Comet Business Class cars?

Do they use a Budd Metroliner cab car on the Comet train when the F40PHs are unavailable?

They're compatible out of Seattle, running on the Cascades every day.
