body slammed a kook who was assaulting a fellow driver in the middle of the night. A good site to visit if you are contemplating a visit to Chicago is cwbchicago.com It covers crime downtown and in the Mag Mile shopping district. Another factor in public transportation crime is that concealed carry is not allowed. Except for criminals. Date: 12/04/21 06:04 Re: article: wave of violence against cta workers highlights the. Author: altoonafn There is only one way to clean this up, and it isn't transit ambassadors.
Of course, law enforcement would rather focus on the real issues, such as parents attending school board meetings. They know they won't be held by woke prosecutors so crime away!
Date: 12/04/21 06:46 Re: article: wave of violence against cta workers highlights the. Author: goneon66 it would be interesting to have surveys on the major public rail transportation systems in this country of what current and potential riders want:
1. no change in current law enforcement on/.near public rail transit 2. increased law enforcement presence on/near public rail transit 3. increased transit ambassadors on/near public rail transit 66 Date: 12/04/21 07:03 Re: article: wave of violence against cta workers highlights the. Must be a job title thought up by someone as Woke as the malcontents who continually make excuses for the violent perpetrators. Date: 12/04/21 08:04 Re: article: wave of violence against cta workers highlights the. Author: goneon66 Lackawanna484 Wrote:

Date: 12/04/21 08:15 Re: article: wave of violence against cta workers highlights the. Author: joemvcnj CTA is unsafe compared to what ? The rest of Chicago ? Forget it. That's like saying Chicago is a safe city but for CTA. It is not. They are averaging 6 carjackings a day, and that includes right in the Loop, Mag Mile, Streeterville, and Near North. Public transit is merely a reflection of what the general area is like. If you think jumping in your car will inoculate you from that, forget it. You are more apt to get beaten and robbed in city parking decks.

Cook County DA Kim Foxx and her court system are just as bad, if not more culpable, routinely letting go of repeat felons, cheap bonds, ankle bracelets, etc. As for CTA, the worst places to be are Wilson, Belmont, Division, Grand, Jackson and Roosevelt on the State Street line. That said, I would no longer so much as walk outside Union Station either, not even down Jackson Blvd a block or two to Giordanno's or Lou Mitchells. A NWU grad student was shot and killed a few months ago during AM rush on the sidewalk near Willis Tower. Just get on the next Metra and head to Naperville, Des Plaines, or Morton Grove. All is not lost. Great hobby shops with lots of railroad books and magazines are in Norwood Park and Des Plaines, accessible by Pace buses as well. Author: joemvcnj I would very much appreciate to know which unfamiliar RR places I might be headed to that may be dangerous.
I had no idea the area around Seattle King Street station has gone from not good to very bad in the last few years. I wish Trainorders was around in 1978 when I was in Ogden, UT for 24 hours. Recently cancelled travel plans to a meeting in Chicago for this very reason. No more city trips until policies change. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 12/04/21 15:16 by SanDiegan. It's pretty simple, not enough cops and too many crminals back out on the street. These policies failed before and will fail again. Three Strikes worked ! Edited 1 time(s).
