Today's Chief #3
Author: Prophoto

Renewing my membership this week I was reminded that I haven't posted anything here in at least 100 years or so. Nothing special about this shot other than I am breaking in a new camera. (Which is to say, I'm learning how to use it.)

Today is another in a long series, two years now, of La Niña winter weather in New Mexico: dry, windy, sunny and warm.

This is the Chief, #3, north of Albuqeurque and on time this afternoon.

Very nice shot!  Looks like your new camera is going to be a winner.

No baggage car (at either end of the train) nor a crew dorm car in this consist. Yet the Zephyr (#5/#6) seems to have both.
Can anyone explain the difference?

No. 3 on time? Someone's going to get fired!  Seriously though, nice shot.
