Passenger Trains > Amtrak Schedule Changes...where to find?Date: 01/15/22 10:02 Amtrak Schedule Changes...where to find? Author: Train29 Just looking at the Amtrak web site. I see nothing about reduced train frequencies. Instead the lead at the top is is about "face coverings" and below it something about a "Pre-Covid Check List." Guess those issues are more important than actually letting people know their travel plans might be impacted by service cut backs. I'm booked on the Starlight in March. Trying to find out what days it is still running. Any insight appreciated.

Norfolk Southern's annual Birmingham-New Orleans segment for track work affecting the Crescent). If you know when you'd like to make a trip, submit a "trial" reservation. This becomes tedious with multiple segments but it is often worth it to see if your planned travel dales are doable. Shouldn't be this difficult but it is a work-around.

Trains get cancelled for an extended period - going to 5x per week, with the Silver Meteor being axed altogether till 3/27/2022. Why can't Amtrak post a link with these train changes/adjustments. This is MAJOR news for nine states out of the NEC! Come on Amtrak! Stop with guessing games. People get phone calls and need some reference!

If they've ever ridden a train, it was likely a "point to point" trip in the NEC. This is really an issues of the loss of institutional knowledge and mentoring.
