Don't wait up for...

...Southwest Chief 4(21)....6 hr 19 min late out of Kansas City.

Engine problems into Albuquerque, arrived 2:18 late with AMTK 3 and 33.   Couldn't be fixed, set out the 3, replaced with AMTK 148.  Departed 6:47 late.

Wait a minute - back up the train....... Where did Amtrak 148 come from? Did it come from Train #3 and it proceeed west with just one unit???

The AMTK 148 came west on 3(21) which lost an hour after the station stop at ABQ setting it out.

Yawn…

turns out it was a debris strike that mangled the air equipment under the locomotive.

AMTK 3 got dropped off at ABQ. 148+33 went forward

Does that qualify as illegal freight train interference?

With the current status of Amtrak's catering I would say anything is possible.

amtrak did it with out bnsf loaners give them props, at first i thought they had a protect unit, could have been later
