Passenger Trains > Amtrak 50th Anniversary Heritage On The Pennsylvanian

Amtrak trains 42 and 43, The Pennsylvanian, have been operating with locomotives 108 and 100 this past week. 108 has been running on the Pennsylvanian since November, and 100 made it's first run across Pennsylvania last week. Here's a few from the central PA area of 108 and 100.

1. Amtrak 108 leads Amtrak 42 past the ALTO tower, in Altoona, PA, on the morning of Friday November 12th, 2021. The train was about 2 hours late due to NS 12G derailing ahead of it in Cresson, PA.

3. 108 leads Amtrak 43 westbound through the west end of the Lewistown yard, in Lewistown, PA, on November 17th, 2021.
