While lurking around the ex-D&RGW main at Palisade, Colorado last Saturday afternoon a tourist took the opportunity of crossing the tracks to do a mid-gauge selfie. The late running Number 5 arrived soon after.

Excepting Buzz Aldrin who took a selfie in space in 1966, there were not a lot of people taking selfies in 1970. More of a put a camera on a tripod with a timer and run into frame than stretch out your arm with a wide angle lens type of event.

Apparently she is a rail fan and not a train fan as she didn't try to get the train in her selfie. It looks like she did get the rail.
