Passenger Trains > AMTK 161 on Train 92 today

161 enjoys a brief pause in Southern Pine NC around 830 this morning, Thursday August 4th.  Train is only about an hour and a half late, so its running EARLY for the Silver Star!  I don't know why, but of all the Amtrak heritage schemes, this is my favorite.  Of moderate interest today was 4 of the 5 Amfleet coaches and the Amfleet Cafe looked to be freshly washed - train has been looking kinda grubby for sometime, so it was nice to see shiny cars.  Also, today's train had 4 Viewliner II sleepers and only 1 Viewliner I.  Typically it;s been running 3 and 2.   Video of train pulling into Southern Pines can be found on the You Tubes at "Past the Office Window"
