Number 8 into Chicago featured "The Menzies Vista" from Portland, and the "Dagny Taggart" which was added at Midway Depot.

I think if I were really rich, I'd spend a lot of time riding such cars, but never with an expectation of getting from Point A to Point Z in a timely manner.

What happens to them when/if (seems more likely when) there is a strike?  Do they just get left wherever they are?  I'm guessing they have their own generators, so would not need head-end power, but at some point they'd need water, food, dump tanks, etc.
