Passenger Trains > Extra Acelas todayDate: 11/22/22 09:07 Extra Acelas today Author: twropr 2156 left WAS 8 am for Boston. Apparently this set turns in BOS for 2175, scheduled to leave at 5:20 pm. Looks like the same tomorrow.
I did not see any additional or extended Regional trains over the NEC today; however, tomorrow normally Fri. only 134 runs WAS-NY. What a far cry from the numerous extras and Boston extensions 2019 and prior! Andy Date: 11/22/22 10:01 Re: Extra Acelas today Author: NPRocky We have no extras out here in the Northwest for sure. The question is can we marshall three coaches each for the Horizon Cascades sets, which gives them about the same coach capacity as the two Oregon Talgos. We've been short of serviceable coaches since the new Vancouver BC train came back on. Sounds like a fair number of coaches are out of service, as in Chicago. We've been in a little better shape for Horizon food service cars than coaches.

finding not many sold outs on Wednesday and Sunday. Yes most are 90% full and the prices are through the roof. Coach ranges from $175 to $330; or if coach is sold out Business is available for $370. Amazingly a roomette is available $429.00 (Wed) on the Silver Meteor which includes dinner! All trains are still sold out of course
