Passenger Trains > Denver RTD R Line Derailed Sept 2022 update

Denver RTD released that R Line light rail commuter train derailed going 38.8 mph in to a 10 MPH curve-!  Updated 25 November 2022 regarding 21 September 2022 incident.

Both photos of R Line derailed commuter cars taken 21 September 2022 in Aurora, CO, at Sable Blvd and East Exposition Avenue.

Curious as to how that is possible. Isn't there some kind of speed enforcement on those lines there?

No PTC on the RTD.

There certainly is on the Airport line.

The airport line is FRA-regulated commuter rail while this rail line is light rail transit.

The airport line is the "A" line, not this one,
