Passenger Trains > Amtrak 30: False Start Friday 1/20/23

I don't mean to pick on diminutive trains but the Cap departed CUS 33 minutes late Friday night and then stopped east of Chicago with unspecified locomotive issues. Amtrak 30 had to reverse back to CUS (was it towed?) before resolving its power issues (perhaps with engine swap?) before finally getting underway again arriving at South Bend some 5 hours and 15 minutes late (ie about 2.5 hours after Amtrak 49 had come and gone). At 0538, Track Your Train site says #30 is still running 5:38 late approaching Sandusky. Amtrak 29 (operating close to schedule) and 30 passed each other around Toledo.
