Starlight Poised To Resume Normal Service
Author: walstib

UPDATE: Surfliner service north of Goleta will resume on Monday, according to an Amtrak alert.

The Coast Starlight will resume normal service from Los Angeles on Tuesday the 31st.

Amtrak is now selling tickets for 14(31) and beyond.

The line has been closed at Honda due to storm damage early in January.

Hmmmm.     No chatter down here on the coast about the line re-opening.   Usually the news gets posted locally  before TO.
Id have to suspect its something other than the train running thru on the coast....  I guess we'll see.

Yes, time will tell. First I heard of it was tonight in the Coast Line Group on FB.

Before posting here I tried to purchase tickets using the Amtrak app.

It allows purchases for 1/31 onward. The 30th was not available for purchase.

There's a lonely, cold Surfliner set sitting in San Luis Obispo.
Looking forward to hearing it head south soon at 6:15 AM!
