Passenger Trains > NY, NJ: Funding for 2nd Ave Subway, Gateway TunnelsDate: 03/09/23 14:17 NY, NJ: Funding for 2nd Ave Subway, Gateway Tunnels Author: Lackawanna484 President Biden's new budget proposal contains additional funding for the Second Avenue subway extension into East Harlem, and for more work on the Gateway Tunnels between New York and New Jersey. The money was included in the Infrastructure bill of 2021, and thus does not require additional legislative review. About $500mn will go to the subway extension, and about $700mn will go to the Gateway Tunnels
