#11 with Charger through the Willamette Valley
Author: roustabout

AMTK 306 Charger was the leader on #11 that was about 20 minutes late through Shedd on the UP Brooklyn Sub.  There are numerous slow orders out for various sections of the tie program that's still in progress on the Brooklyn Sub.  The main part seems to be in the Salem area but a smaller crew has been putting ties under crossings in the area from Shedd to Albany.

Much different from the last time I worked #11.  That was 12/23/10.  Had a baggage car and Pacific Parlour in the consist.  Usually ten cars in the off season and twelve during the summer.

When I use to volunteer as docent for the Klamath County Museum between Klamth Falls and Eugene, the train was generally sold out with 12 cars.

They were picking up used ties on Sunday 3/12 up at my namesake siding Coalca. They ballasted the line a couple months ago up here as well.
