Passenger Trains > FL car runs into BrightLine train

A 79 year old woman drove around down crossing gates and hit the side of a BrightLine train in Lake Worth Beach. The train was not injured.

The driver will be ticketed, police say.

Yes, but according to WPTV, "..the train struck the vehicle." 
Also, "...the person, who was born in 1944,.." Translation - 79 years old.
Anyway,  thanks for letting us know "The train was not injured." HA HAaaa....

Idiot.

Assuming it was the same incident; based on the story I read on WPTV, I came away with the impression the driver went around the gates and was almost in the clear when the Brightline train clipped the rear of the vehicle. The driver kept going and later contacted police.

Of course; given the frequency at which people seem to go out of their way to be “involved” with Brightline trains, perhaps I was reading of another collision. 🤷
